Each participant on The Compass Moms platform agrees to the general community standards, with role-specific agreements depending on their level of involvement:
General Member Agreement – All Users
Applies To: All site visitors, subscribers, and members
Includes
- Community guidelines (respect, kindness, no harassment)
- Privacy policy & data handling
- Content use (personal only; no unauthorized republishing)
- User conduct expectations (no spamming, promotions without permission)
- Terms for membership cancellation and data removal
Compass Professional Agreement
Applies To: Professionals listed in the Compass Directory
Includes
- Profile accuracy & keeping credentials current
- Consent for The Compass Moms to share public info (e.g., headshot, bio)
- Clear scope: not an endorsement or employment relationship
- Agreement not to misuse member contact info or sell outside services aggressively
- Adherence to professional ethics in all advice or shared content
- Directory removal policy if guidelines are violated
Compass Creator Agreement
Applies To: Content creators, "contributors" (bloggers, product download creators, course creators, video contributors)
Includes
- Ownership: Creator retains copyright, The Compass Moms gets a non-exclusive license to share
- Ownership of Products Exclusively Paid for by The Compass Moms: The Compass Moms retains copyright and gets a non-exclusive license to share
- Review process: Content may be edited for clarity or formatting
- No plagiarism; original work only
- Promotion: The Compass Moms may promote content across social platforms and email
- Earnings: If applicable, details on affiliate payouts, product sales splits, or promotional visibility
- Content removal or discontinuation rights for either party with written notice
Compass Mentor Agreement
Applies To: Mentors offering guidance, feedback, or 1:1/community support
Includes
- Role clarification: Mentorship is informal, peer-based, and not medical/legal advice
- Confidentiality of mentee conversations
- Boundaries: No unapproved paid services or coaching through The Compass Moms unless arranged
- Optional time commitment or availability standards
- Code of conduct: Encourage, uplift, and support respectfully
- Process for review or removal if conflicts or violations occur
Supporting Agreements
- Affiliate Agreement – for anyone promoting Compass products for a commission
- Product License Agreement – for digital downloads sold via the Compass Shop
- Speaker/Live Event Agreement – if hosting a workshop or expert session
